According to the Encyclopaedia Britannica, “API, in full application programming interface, sets of standardized requests that allow different computer programs to communicate with each other.” For those not familiar with this software engineering terms, I define APIs as parts of software that enable it to exchange information with other software in the cloud efficiently. Nowadays, APIs are essential to any software development project, especially for their automation, scalability, and reliability capabilities. How can trucking companies leverage this technology to improve operations?

API Applications in Trucking Companies

Well, for US and Canada-based companies Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) come to mind. Nowadays, most ELD providers offer a could interface for data visualization for the company’s stakeholders.
